International NOTAM Office

International NOTAM Office (NOF) is responsible for gathering, maintaining and distributing aeronautical information. NOTAM are originated and issued for FIR Warszawa.

According to ICAO Annex 15:

A notice to airmen (NOTAM) is a notice distributed by means of telecomunication , containing information concerning the estabilishment, condition or change in any aeronautical facility, service, procedure or hazard, the timely knowledge of which is essential to personnel and systems concerned with flight operations.

NOF is also providing a surface condition report in a standard format of SNOWTAM. ICAO Annex 15 defines SNOWTAM as a special series NOTAM given in a standard format providing a surface condition report notifying the presence or cessation of hazardous conditions due to snow, ice, slush, frost, standing water or water associated with snow, slush, ice or frost on the movement area.

The International NOTAM Office (NOF) publishes information exclusively in the format compliant with ICAO Doc 10066, Appendix 3 and procedures described in the Eurocontrol Guidelines for Operating Procedures for AIS Dynamic Data (OPADD).

The International NOTAM Office (NOF) creates NOTAM directly to the European AIS Data Base (EAD) via a dedicated network. Notam distribution is conducted by the EAD via the AFTN according to a distribution lists managed by NOF Warszawa.

C (EN) / M (PL)En-route information excluding information on en-route navigation warnings and en-route obstacles which are published as series D.
D (EN) / N (PL)En-route information warnings including airspace restrictions, en-route obstacles.
E (EN) / U (PL)Information on aerodromes: EPBY, EPLB, EPLL, EPRZ, EPSC, EPSY, EPZG
F (EN)MIL aerodromes: EPDA, EPIR, EPLY, EPMB, EPMI, EPOK, EPPR, EPTM. The Military NOTAM Office is responsible for supplying verified data concerning military aerodromes. The International NOTAM Office (NOF) Warszawa is responsible only for proper distribution of this information.
G (EN) / J (PL)Information on aerodromes and airfields published in VFR AIP.
H (EN) / L (PL)Information on aerodromes: EPKT, EPMO, EPRA, EPWR.
S (EN)Prepared according to the SNOWTAM format, concern the presence or removal of hazardous conditions due to snow, slush, ice on aerodrome pavements or standing water associated with snow, slush or ice. They are distributed to interested subscribers (only for controlled aerodroms).
